The Lloyd's Register Foundation International Consortium of Nanotechnologies (ICON) is a global network focussed on addressing the challenges raised in the Foresight Review of Nanotechnologies (2014) to enhance safety.  The global network comprises world-leading academics, industrialists and students.

The Programme Management Board have approved the funding of 51 PhD studentships across a range of themes from sensors, smart materials, energy & storage and computing and communications.  

We believe that external partners matter and are keen to hear from researchers and those in industry who are interested in our ongoing research and its outcomes.
